i am tending to the hopes, affirmations, and practices mentioned in my previous entry. today i tidied the plant corner and took down the last of the Christmas decorations. last week i tackled the junk drawer and half of the space under the stairs and the shelves at the top of the stairs. and on january twelfth, i started my second run of the artist’s way along with a wonderful group of folks in need of creative engagement. i am writing this at what should be the end of week two, but after a rough week of avoidance i have decided that week two officially begins for me tomorrow. i intend to execute this course as honestly and fully as possible, and here i offer you a peak into what that looks like— as well as a few new poems.

this officially marks the beginning of my second run of the artist’s way. i am in the midst of a huge transition but think that this practice can serve as an anchor for my mind and a synthesis for my creativity. i hope to pull pearls of wisdom from this experience as i navigate completely new mental and emotional territories. i hope to foster resolve and to reinvest in my time with myself. I look forward to artist dates and forging bonds with the friends joining me in this practice. i turn toward inspiration and open myself to progress and opportunity. may this practice support my belief in myself and my care for my spirit. good things are coming. i love you, Ev!
